The offer

What do I get for five trees?

Five trees, €530 including 6% VAT. Five trees sit below the ten-tree step, so they earn the base: €6 a tree, €30 a year. From your tenth tree every tree earns €7. At harvest, after 7 to 9 years, the grower intends to buy each tree back out of the timber sale, which is a right, not an obligation. Promised by Clearworld, not guaranteed.

What return is promised?

€6 a tree a year, promised on every tree. €7 from your tenth tree. A euro more on subscription trees once the subscription has run three paid months, and a euro more on every tree per friend who buys with your code, up to two friends. A tree earns at most €9 a year. Every amount is promised by Clearworld, not guaranteed.

When is the first payment?

The first yearly return falls due in the same month of the following year: trees bought in September earn their first return the following September. It is credited to your account and paid to your bank account when you ask, from €5, with transaction costs. It is paid in cash, not reinvested and not compounded. Ordering is not open yet, so the exact date your return starts to accrue is confirmed at checkout.

What could ten trees return over the cycle?

Ten trees cost €1,060 including 6% VAT and earn €7 a tree, so €70 a year. If every year is paid, that is €490 to €630 over the 7 to 9 year cycle, before anything from the harvest. Promised by Clearworld, not guaranteed; you can lose part or all of what you paid.

How many trees can I buy?

From 1 tree up to 50 trees per order on this site, at €106 each including 6% VAT. There is also a maximum of €5,000 per project, per person.

Who looks after the trees?

Clearworld BV, the grower: planting, maintenance and harvest, on its own land in Belgium and France. You own the trees; GrowGreen runs this site and your account for Clearworld BV.

Can I find my own trees?

Yes. Your order is finalised within 2 to 3 days of payment, with your confirmation and invoice. Individual trees are assigned once they are established, which takes about two years; from then each one has its own serial number and GPS coordinates, and your GrowGreen account shows the plantation and the tree numbers. The plantations are checked by drone.

What happens if a tree dies?

More trees are planted than sold, and reserve plantations, one of them in France, replace damaged trees, as far as those reserves allow. The replacement covers the tree, not your money or your yearly payment, and trees lost to drought, insects, fungi or severe winters are excluded. The terms and the risk factors set out the details.

What is the risk?

You can lose all or part of what you paid. The yearly payments depend on the sale of CO₂ certificates and, until then, on the grower's reserves. The buyback at harvest is a right, not an obligation, there is no secondary market for your trees, and the grower is highly leveraged with its land mortgaged. Read the risk factors before you buy.

Buying, and who is who

Who is Clearworld BV?

The Belgian company that owns the plantations in Belgium and France, plants, looks after and harvests the trees, and pays the promised yearly amount. It is the seller of record and the other party to your contract.

Is GrowGreen part of Clearworld BV?

Yes. GrowGreen is a Clearworld brand: growgreen.finance is Clearworld BV's international site, and Clearworld BV sells the trees, grows them and holds your contract. GrowGreen at growgreen.finance has no connection with other companies that use the name GrowGreen.

Who do I pay?

Your payment goes to Clearworld BV, the seller. GrowGreen never holds your money.

Can I order today?

Not yet. Ordering is not open and no date has been set. Reserve trees by email and you hear it when ordering opens, with your pick ready to confirm. A reservation is not an order and nothing is paid.

Can I change my mind?

Yes. The legal 14-day cooling-off period applies: you can withdraw from your order within 14 days, without giving a reason.

Can I buy trees every month?

Yes, with a subscription: a number of trees or an amount every month, by SEPA direct debit. Those trees count toward the ten-tree step, and once the subscription has run three paid months they earn a euro more a year. Stop before that and they keep what they earned.

How does bringing a friend work?

Every customer gets a code. A friend enters it when they open their account, and once they buy, any amount, every tree you own earns a euro more a year, up to 2 friends. A euro you have earned stays for the life of your trees.

What documents do I get?

Before you buy: your purchase agreement and the information note of the plantation, to read and keep. Within 2 to 3 days of payment: your confirmation and invoice. Once your trees are assigned: their numbers and plantation. Every document lands in your account.

Can I sell my trees?

There is no market for them. This is a 7 to 9 year commitment. At harvest the grower intends to buy the trees back out of the timber sale, which is a right, not an obligation. Read the risk factors before you buy.
