Two streams

Where the money comes from

A green valley with a village
While they grow

The CO₂

The trees take up CO₂ as they grow. That is sold as certificates on the voluntary market, where prices move; until those sales come in, the yearly payment is made from the grower's reserves.

Your yearly return

Paulownia blossom beside cut timber
After 7 to 9 years

The timber

The trees are harvested and the timber is sold. The grower intends to buy your trees back out of the sale. A right, not an obligation.
